July 2020 Working Bee

Given the hard lockdown imposed on Metro Melbourne we did well on Saturday the 11th of July to have 11 local participants to plant 150 plants along the cliff top path going from the Orana camp ground past the steps next to Pea Creek and on to the steps at the eastern end of Undertow Bay. We continued the planting already established at the June working bee installing sturdier wallaby guards to protect Banksia and Manna Gum seedlings from grazers. Some local residents have continued this work in the Undertow Bay Gully with a further 150 plants where some of last year’s plantings died due to the dry conditions.
