Clean Up Australia Day 3 March 2019

nikp

A big thank you to the 32 volunteers who came to the Clean Up Cape Paterson day on March 3rd.  This was part of Clean Up Australia which supports and encourages local communities, schools and businesses to undertake a clean up event.  5 bags of rubbish and 6 bags of recycling were collected.  This compares with 8 bags of rubbish and 10 of recycling in 2018 and 10 bags of each in 2017.

This was our fourth-in-a-row Clean Up Australia working bee and with such a good turnout we could easily cover the main township public areas, foreshore reserves and beaches.

We followed up the clean up with a BBQ at Birt Park thanks to Leone.

CPRRA is planning to hold a clean up day every year on the national Clean Up Australia day.  We hope to see you there next year!
