Opening of the Tent Town Project siteThe group monitors the flora and fauna of local reserves and parks, keeping a watching brief on public land and biodiversity of the Wonthaggi area.

At the Wonthaggi Heathland, Friends weed and replant areas and assist students with their ecological studies.

Through a major project, Friends have extended the Heathland area into the Rifle Range Wetland, to link the coast with the town.

Currently the group has just completed a major project to revegetate the Tent Town site in Wonthaggi.
