Founded in October 2009, we are a group of devoted Volunteers working closely with Birds Australia, Parks Victoria and Bass Coast Shire to;
With only 400 and declining Hooded Plover left in Victoria the need to help this bird is real and present now. The opportunity for you to help exists with this Hoodie Friends Group. We monitor breeding along 30 kilometers of coastline between Anderson’s Inlet and Kilcunda. With our groups assistance the 2009/10 breading season yielded a remarkable 20 fledglings from 15 nesting pairs.
