Working Bee - 10-Nov-2012

wb10-100Thanks to the 22 enthusiastic volunteers who worked hard at the working bee on Sat 10-Nov-2012. The weather was superb and made for perfect conditions for the crew.  We had about 100 plants to use filling gaps from previous plantings. We also removed woody and invasive weed to maintain our previous work sites.

Two trailer loads of weeds were taken to the tip, including dumped household rubbish that had been thrown into the bush. The area is now looking great.

It is very satisfying to look around at the extraordinary growth of the thousands of trees we have planted in the past six years.

Congratulations and thanks to all our volunteers. Special thanks to volunteers from Wonthaggi Lifesavers who support us at morning tea and lunchtime for each working bee.
