Explanations provided by the Council

  1. The Planning Scheme sets out the policies and requirements for the use, development and protectin of land.
  2. Amendment C53 seeks to re-zone the land on the corner of Seaward Drive and Wilsons Road west of the existing Cape Paterson. It also proposes to include a plan of the proposed development ... to make sure that all development works are constructed and located in the agreed manner.
  3. A Comprehensive Development Zone (CDZ) is a planning control that Council can use when a development has a number of different uses proposed for the land. The CDZ is always linked to a Development Plan which is also incorporated into the Planning Scheme.
  4. A Development Plan is a document that sets out the way the land will be used ... generalling including the location of roads, buildings, stormwater management systems, existing vegetation and also where new landscaping will occur.
