Working Bee 10 February 2018The weather was warm and the sand dry – perfect for pulling up Sea Spurge. So after meeting at Wonthaggi LSC car park we headed for the Wilson Road end of Second Surf Beach and worked our way eastwards removing Sea Spurge regrowth from the sand dunes. Click on the title to read more and look at the photos.
Many young seedlings as well as sporadic pockets of larger Sea Spurge were found and removed. Overall there was a feeling that we have made a major impact on the infestation along the Cape Paterson coastline. Thanks to Leone and Greg for lugging our morning tea along the beach to our work area. The refreshments were much appreciated.
